Hey everyone. We have a new web site for the club over at http://addictedtoanime.org with a blog to keep everyone informed and forums and IRC for chat and even a streaming anime radio station. As voted a trial of Friday rather than Saturday screenings is being held.

So the March Screening is Friday 27th not Saturday the 28th

This allows ATA members to bus to Toowoomba South State School (On the #4 Route, corner of James and Ruthven), or downtown and then walk the 2 blocks south along Ruthven from the centre of the city (Margaret and Ruthven). On Saturday, buses can carry the photosensitive and sleep deprived masses home.

ATA, the USQ Amine club, will be screening O-week on Wednesday 25/02/09, and also having a booth for sign-up/promotion in the Clive Berghoffer Centre on Baker St (the one on USQ Darligh Heights campus not any of the other Clive Berghoffer centres around SE Qld).

On Saturday the 28th they will be having their usual all night screening and hang out at Toowoomba South State School. This is also the official Sign-up session, so bring your membership as well as $3 to feed the yellow rat.

Wednesday 4 March 2009 at Noon, probably T120, there will be the AGM, election of Officers, and more anime goodness.

Hi everyone !
After a few year absence I'm returning to USQ this semester and the first thing I want to do is host a big anime screening and games night like I've done in the past to introduce myself to all the new members. I was planning to do this the night of Sunday the 1st of March at the end of the first week of O-week. The screening will start around 4pm Sunday at my house at 101 Glenvale Road (on my 50" plasma !) and run for about 5 hours of anime with breaks in between followed by a couple of hours of Gamecube and Wii gaming.

Anime likely to be considered for screening will be:

Origin - Spirits of the Past
Zaion
Place Promised in Our Early Days
10 cm per Second

And the usual madness of Super Monkey Ball and Wii Sports will follow. Open house and all are invited, both members and non-members. BYO if you are so inclined. Transport can be arranged for those without it by calling me on 0429 877 824 prior to the day.

October was great, two all night screenings (regular & Halloween).

We need to start organizing screening lists, so we have something lined up for the kids until 9:00pm, and some actual Anime to fill the screen instead of reruns of AMVs.

So, for November 29th, anyone got a G/PG rated anime to recommend?

Haven't mentioned it for a while.

Addicted to Anime is the University of Southern Queensland's Anime Society
(At least I think we still are, they seem to have forgotten us.)

Last Saturday of the Month, we PARTY!

Well, we gather at Toowoomba South State School and hang out and watch anime
and generally socialize.

From about 5:00pm (start of screening depends on sunset and slackness)

We screen Kid friendly stuff until about 9:00pm

$3 to the hall hire fund (Remember, Membership is only $10 a year for non-students)

We screen until ... Late
No, we mean really late.

Toowoomba South State School is located at the corner of James and Ruthven Streets, main entrance on James between the Catholic Church and the Butchers (and Bottleshop).

We also meet on Wednesdays Noon to 2:00pm in the bowels of T-Block
(Walk through the breezeway and look for a room for of Geeks watching Anime
and playing RPGs and collector card games,
usually the first door on the right coming in off Baker St)
